KAS Von Dutch (by Kubinec out of Vypiska by Piligrim) is a young peculiar purebred Arabian stallion that has been bred by Mr. Ad Kuijf from the Kubination Arabian Stud (The Netherlands) and is owned by Mr. Nicolas Jamar (Belgium). He is the inheritor of the Russian Arabian breeding intelligentsia from Tersk Stud (Russia); heritage to be noted through his definite pedigree and his specific morphology.
His Pedigree
Descending from the Gamil Manial dam line, engendered by the El Zahraa Stud (Egypt), KAS Von Dutch has being line bred to Amurath Sahib’s line. Aswan (ex-Raafat), descendent of the Gamil Manial line, has been imported from Egypt to Russia. He was highly credited for his distinct type, his elevated legs and his high tail carriage, credits to be found back in many of his descendent. His refinement and beauty fitted the accurate conformation and the athletic abilities of the Tersk Stud mares, giving numerous enticing offspring with show and racing abilities. Aswan left almost three hundred offspring and among them; the stallion Mashuk .
Mashuk, proved to be one of Aswan’s most influential sons, ensuring the continuity of the Gamil Manial line in Russia. His dam was the well-known Tersk broodmare Malutka, sired by the renowned stallion Salon. Mashuk has been named “King of Tersk”. He has also been honoured by his progeny mostly celebrated in show; as the stallion Gips.
Gips, KAS Von Dutch first maternal great grandsire, was out the noted Tersk broodmare Polinezia, sired by the noticeable stallion Nabeg. He has been awarded as “Elite ECAHO Stallion”. His offspring are famous for their distinguished type and conformation; as the stallion Piligrim.
Piligrim, KAS Von Dutch’s maternal grand-sire, was out of the eminent Tersk broodmare Postup, sired by the prominent stallion Suvenir. He has been renowned in show and race but Piligrim is best known for his progeny most noted in showing and breeding; as the mare Vypiska.
Vypiska, KAS Von Dutch’s dam, was out of the famousTersk broodmare Nitra sired by the infamous stallion Menes.She was bred at Tersk Stud in Russia, exported to the Kubination Arabian Stud in The Netherlands and then finally exported to a private owner, Mrs Canard Annette, in Belgium.
Descending from one the oldest and highly respected lines in Arabian horse breeding, the Bairactar one through his sire, KAS Von Dutch has one of the most representative stallions of this line in his ancestors; the elegant and athletic Amurath Sahib. Amurath Sahib has been a very successful race winner and sire of Stakes winners. His most famous son, Arax became the most important sire of his time and ensured the future of the Bairactar line. Typical of Arax, he stamped his descendent with large black eyes, well-set necks, great substance and depth of body and hip among an excellent leg structure; as on his son Nabeg.
Nabeg, proved to be Arax’s most influential son, leaving a legacy second to none to continue the Bairactar line. His dam was the well-known foundation mare Nomenklatura, sired by the renowned stallion Naseem. Nabeg was known to sire remarkable sons who in turn went on to become sought after stud sires; as the stallion Menes.
Menes, KAS Von Dutch’s first paternal great grand-sire and second maternal great grand sire was out of the noted Tersk broodmare Metropolia, sired by the noticeable racing stallion Prijboj. He remains a sire of great significance, with numerous international winners in show and in sport; as the stallion Balaton.
Balaton, KAS Von Dutch’s paternal grand-sire, was out of the of eminent Tersk broodmare mare Panagia, sired by the prominent stallion Aswan. He has been awarded, among other titles, with the one of “Horse of the Century”. Balaton sired numerous winners in show and sport; as the stallion Kubinec.
Kubinec, KAS Von Dutch’s sire, was out of the famous Tersk broodmare Kosmetika, sired by the infamous Muscat. He was bred at Tersk Stud in Russia, then exported to Gestüt Osterhof in Germany and finally for the Kubination Arabian Stud, in The Netherlands. He has been elected “Horse of the Year” by the readers of the Araber Journal due also to his show achievements. Kubinec’s success led him to become an “IAHA Sweepstakes Nominated Sire” as his results and the results of his offspring in show have brought him to be the first and actually only 5 “Star ECAHO Stallion”.
His morphology
With three crosses to Aswan, through his classical dam Vypiska, KAS Von Dutch was blessed with crucial hallmarks of the Arabian horse. His head is beautifully yet slightly dished with large defined jowls and wide set eyes. His inheritance from Vipiska’s family, also come through flair, high set and flag like tail carriage plus the additional length of leg and extra loftiness of gait; the sacred traits Aswan famously and consistently stamped over on his family.
With five crosses to Arax, through his capital sire Kubinec and through his classical dam Vypiska, KAS Von Dutch carries himself with a commanding presence. He has a masculine yet beautiful head with prominent expressive black eyes and dryness of skin that immediately draws attention to the charismatic beauty of this mesmerizing young stallion. His high set arched neck is clean with balance and excellent length. His poll and throat-latch are long and flexible, with a broad windpipe and his display of the beautiful Arabian horse’s arch comes naturally for him. His swanlike neck effortlessly blends into his well laid back shoulder and prominent wither which again blends into a short, strong and broad back. His smooth top-line runs perfectly into an excellent strong and flexible loin. His powerful hindquarters are in perfect harmony with his elegant forehand and deep body and a long croup with a beautifully set tail blends with his excellent long and puissant hip. Squarely set legs, with flat bone and clean tendon, strong correct hooves and placement of clean joints carry this amazing horse with elevated motion, length of stride and power of movement. Multiple of these hallmarks being characteristic from the Arax family.
With traits as his noted type, his noticed presence and his notable morphology inherited from his ancestors, KAS Von Dutch is also, as them before, accomplishing some noticeable achievements…as having being awarded with the title of “Reserve European Champion” in “Liberty”.
KAS Von Dutch is thus a particular young stallion with a definite pedigree and a specific morhology inherited from his Russian Bloodlines and is at his turn, as sire, starting to grant the Russian Arabian horse world with his heritage trough his distinct Tersk Stud line related progeny. All hopes are, with breedings from him sold for straight Russian mares in all continents, that KAS Von Dutch will leave a mark as heir on his Russian Arabian Bloodlined descendent as he has been marked as heritor of his Tersk Stud Bloodlined Arabian ascendent…seemingly contributing then at the preservation of the Russian Arabian Park worldwide!
